Biography

Harry Lee

HARRY LEE 李雲烽 is an landscape architectural designer based in Kyoto who explores the interplay of ritual, artifacts, and landscape architecture through his work. Drawing from his intimate connection with the environments, he creates ceramic artifacts that capture the ambiances of sacred sites and mythological landscapes. These artifacts are primarily made at Asahiyaki, a 400-year-old ceramic atelier in Uji, Japan, where the heritage of tea and ceramics converge.

Educated at Harvard University in Landscape Architecture, Lee combines landscape architecture with immersive performance and tea ceremonies to explore the relationship between place, ritual, and sensory experience. He is also the founder of Tea J Club in Kyoto and the Harvard Club Tea Society in New York City. Crafting narratives through immersive environments, his work has captivated audiences internationally, including at Nuit Blanche Kyoto, the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Burning Man, and the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

In the age of digital saturation, he founded HARRY LEE WORLD to create landscape art that restores a primordial dialogue between humans and nature, rekindling ancestral cosmologies in contemporary ceremonies.
