The Oyster<牡蠣>
The Oysters series is the signature of Harry Lee World.
These hyper-realistic oyster hand-built by Harry Lee are created by analyzing the growing mechanism of oysters, and reprinting the tectonics of oysters on the surface of ceramics.
Oysters do not exist as fixed forms, but rather a process of formation. By reanimating the process of growth and the formation of its symbiotic landscapes. Harry Lee summoned the soul of oysters in the shape of vessels such as tea bowls, cups and vase.

《牡蠣》OYSTER Series - Oyster L no. 2
《牡蠣》OYSTERS series
Inspired by the Hokusai Manga, Lee explores the ambiguous boundary between “rock” and “oyster.” Rather than mere imitation, Lee extracts the “soul data” of the organism—its growth tectonics and rhythmic vitality. Using line-drawing to sculpt three-dimensionality, Lee transforms clay into a micro-ecology. To the artist, an oyster is not just a biological form, but a miniature landscape painting capturing the pulse of nature.
