Harry Lee is a tea artist and ceramist whose practice evokes the landscapes of spiritual worlds. His meditative art seeks to realign human energy with its inner nature. Founder of Tea J Club in Kyoto and the Harvard Club Tea Society in New York, Lee approaches tea as an art of living—part imagination, part reality, and part communion.

Inspired by the Hokusai Manga, Lee explores the ambiguous boundary between “rock” and “oyster.” Rather than mere imitation, Lee extracts the “soul data” of the organism—its growth tectonics and rhythmic vitality. Using line-drawing to sculpt three-dimensionality, Lee transforms clay into a micro-ecology. To the artist, an oyster is not just a biological form, but a miniature landscape painting capturing the pulse of nature.
